Raed Nabris
Born in 1977 in Khan Younis with roots in the village of Najd, Raed Al-Nabris is a visual artist based in Gaza. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts Education from Al-Aqsa University in 2001. Since then, he has dedicated his career to teaching art and participating in numerous exhibitions, both locally and internationally.
Raed's artistic journey includes key exhibitions such as the 2014 "Abeer Al-Thura" International Art Festival, the "Pulse of Rubble" Exhibition, and the 2015 "Message of Peace 2" Exhibition at Gaza University. In 2016, he showcased his work at the "Essence of Homeland" Exhibition, organized by the Palestinian Forum for Fine Arts, and the "International Palestine Festival on the Road to Jerusalem," hosted by the Rawasi Center for Culture and Arts. He also participated in the "Gaza Second Contemporary Art Festival" that year and held a solo exhibition, "Nectar," in 2017. Raed continued his involvement in exhibitions in 2017, including the "Third Palestine Festival on the Road to Jerusalem" and the "Song of the Stone" Exhibition, sponsored by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.
In 2018, he contributed to the "We Are Here" Exhibition, organized by the Palette Group for Contemporary Fine Art in Gaza, and participated in the 2020 "On the Road to Jerusalem" Exhibition. That same year, he held a solo exhibition titled "In a Certain Direction." His international reach expanded with the "Exeer" Exhibition in Syria and the "Journey to Hope" Exhibition at Tanbash University in Turkey, both in 2020. He also showcased his work at the 2021 "Palestine, Land and People" Exhibition, organized by the International Union of Arab Writers and Poets in collaboration with the Gaza YMCA, and the "Continuous Action" Exhibition at the same venue. Raed participated in the "Rooted in Olive Land" Exhibition, organized by the Rawasi Foundation for Culture and Arts, and the "Palestine, Resilient" Exhibition in Jordan, both in 2021. Additionally, he exhibited at the "We Are All the Al-Quds Intifada" Exhibition in Europe, organized by the Palestinian Association of Visual Artists, and the "Brush and Color" Exhibition in Jordan. Raed’s most recent exhibitions include the "High Shadow" Exhibition at the Palestinian Ministry of Culture in Ramallah, the 2023 "Colors from Gaza" Exhibition at the Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem, and the "Palestine, Story and Color" joint exhibition in Gaza, Russia, and Jordan, organized by the Mobile Art Gallery Association.
