Currently residing in Khan Yunis, Amer is a founding member of the Eltiqa Group for Contemporary Art and has managed the art studio of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society since 1996. During the Israeli assault on Gaza in the winter of 2008-2009, Abdul Nasser Amer’s studio and some of his artworks were destroyed. In the most recent aggression of 2023-2024, he lost his home, his family’s home, and his studio, which was located on the rooftop of his house, due to Israeli bombardment of Khan Yunis camp. The residential block where the artist and his family lived was completely obliterated. Abdul Naser Amer's recent paintings are inspired by the environment in which he lives. His works draw heavily on female figures, which dominate most of his creations. As he explains, these figures reflect the purest emotions. His style, techniques, and themes possess a distinctive quality that evokes various layers of meaning and significance.
